F.A.S.T. is an acronym that was created to raise awareness about brain stroke symptoms, as well as the need for swift medical attention at the onset of symptoms. This is critical as the speed with which medical care is provided directly impacts treatment outcomes. 


Patients who do not receive medical care within 4.5 hours of a brain stroke increase the risk of severe disability and mortality.


Therefore, it’s important to seek treatment at a stroke ready center, which includes hospitals that offer 24/7 rapid diagnostic procedures like CT scans and have a dedicated stroke response team, equipped to provide emergency brain stroke care.
